Lemon Tea Tree Leptospermum petersonii
Origin: Australia
Australia's 'forgotten' tea tree, becoming very popular in the USA, and will be in the UK. Also known as Leptospermum citratum. Mainly composed of Citral and Citronella, and said to have
antiseptic, anti-microbial, carminative and sedative properties, Lemon Tea-Tree has a much nicer, rounder "lemony" scent than Citronella or Lemongrass.
Has antiseptic, anti-microbial, carminative and sedative properties, it is used in aromatic blends for the oil burner to combat coughs and colds. It is also successfully used as a powerful insect
repellent. This oil provides the clinical advantages of tea tree oil with a pleasant aroma. Also
reputed to be anti-viral. Often used by Chiropodists to treat fungal infections or chronic foot odour. Makes an excellent antiseptic room spray.
